I have recently installed Windows 7 RC 64 bit. Everything works good, except for my wireless internet connection.

Come sbloccare il Modem Alice Gate 2 Plus Wi- Fi. Tempo fa un mio collega mi aveva fatto vedere come si sbloccava il modem Alice Gate 2 Plus Wi- Fi cambiandone il firmware; cos. La presente guida.

I have a linksys router (WRT160N) and a linksys adapter in de pc (WUSB600N). I use WPA2 security for my wireless connection. The first problem is that the pc can't always find my router. When the pc is trying to connect to the router, my security key is asked for. When I type it in, I get the message Passphrase incorrect, but i'm 100% certain that it is correct.

In an other topic in the forum someone had the same problem, but this was resolved by pressing the button on his router looking like a refrech button. This doesn't work for me. When I press this button, the pc is connecting, but returns an error, connection failed or sometihing like that. When I set my router to unsecure the pc connects to the router without a problem, but off course i don't want my wireless to be unsecured. When I put the router to WEP security, I don't even get t the point where I have to put in my security key. So that also doesn't work.

Hope someone can help me. Does anyone know if Microsoft reads this forum and does anything with these issues. I have similar problem as you.

It finds the wireless find, but it won't accept the security key. But I found something weird. I am also using wpa2 but when holding my mouse over the wireless, and the small popup menu appears (the one that shows the name, security type, etc.) it show the security type as wep. This might be the problem, that windows 7 does get the right information. Do have the same problem or does it show the right security type?

Thanks in advance for any help. /sorry for my bad english.

/sorry for my bad english. FWIW, my Win7 RC1 [build 7100] laptop correctly indicates that my wireless network is using WPA2-PSK. What wireless card do you have? Did the drivers work out of the box or did you need to install the wireless card drivers using the Troubleshoot Compatibility function, ie.

Right-click on the driver install file and select Troubleshoot Compatibility? I had to do the latter. In my case I installed using Vista SP1 compatibility for my Belkin F5D7010 ver 8000 card. MS-MVP Windows Desktop Experience, 'When all else fails, read the instructions'. If I remove my routers security Windows connects and have internet acces and if I change it to WEP it also works. But setting it to WPA or WPA2 Windows 7 still thinks its WEP. Using the right key for WPA or WPA2, Windows 7 tells its wrong.

But using a WEP key, then it takes it and then comes up with troubleshoot. I guess that its because it thinks its a WEP network, but the router isn't and therefore refuesses to accept the key given by Windows. (Dont know if this helps or makes any sense).

Also I can see that it picks up other local wireless networks, and can see them as WPA2. So it might be a problem with this type of router?? Thanks in advance for the any help.

Kega, Vincent, et al., I have a WRT160 N router, version 2, build 11. According to the traffic on the Linksys website, the problem is with the router. There is a firmware error that causes the router to drop the connection for both direct link and wireless connections. In addition, several individuals reported dramatic slow down of internet speed even after removing the router. I installed this router on Windows 7 RC and had the same problem. I did a clean install with the router in place hoping that W7RC might correct the problem. Apparently, Linksys does not have a solution to this problem yet.

Several individuals who attempted to contact Linksys support received no help. This problem occurs with XP, Vista, and W7RC because it is a router malfunction.
