The Radeon 4000 series is a bit of an outlier. Some of these cards will work out of the box, while others require extra kexts to get full graphics support (similar to NVIDIA graphics cards). Multibeast includes kexts for Radeon 4800 cards. In general, you might as well avoid these cards altogether. Hi I just posted this Kext for ATI Radeon 5450.
